OUR FINAL PROJECT!
Parable of the Wedding Banquet

The Kingdom of heaven is like a girl's birthday party! She invites all of her closest friends to come to her birthday party! But sadly, none of them show :( . She goes to see why and realize that they were just not wanting to come! She was sad! So, she invites everyone else in her grade, and they all show! She was having a great party and made some great friends! Then, she had to open presents and one little boy didn't bring one. She threw him out of the party and never looked back! Everyone else had the best time of their life!

In our parable, the girl represents God. Her original guest list represents the Jewish people who were originally invited to heaven, but rejected Jesus and will go to hell. The second guest list she has represents the Christians, who will go to heaven because they accepted Jesus. The little boy without a present represents people that are not prepared for heaven, and will go to hell.

Hey guys! Here is the page for our parables! We better get going on it, since it's due Tuesday, and we have not started yet! By the way, this is DaNcIngdiVa4LIFE (Natalie). So here are some parables I think we should do, because they are easier to understand, and they will give us 6 points! I think we should do the Parable of the Ten Virgins (3 points), The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant (1 point), and the Parable of the Net (2 points). And the Parable of the Wedding Banquet! These ones are the easiest, I think, so I think we should do them! What do you guys think????? Here is what i think these parables mean:

Wow! That sounds Great Natalie! Great Work! I will see if hannah could help me do some of the Wedding Banquet parable!
~Julia

Thanks! I'm glad you like it!! Sounds good! Thanks, Natalie
Here is some links to these parables: (these are all on Bible Gateway.com)
The Parable of the Ten Virgins: Matthew 25:1-13
The Parable of the Unmerciful Servant: Matthew 18:21-35
The Parable of the Net: Matthew 13:47-52
The Parable of the Wedding Banquet: Matthew 22:1-14

Parable of the Ten Virgins:
  • I think this means that you always need to be prepared and be on your best behavior and try to act like a real Christian would act all the time, because you never know when Jesus will come back! If Jesus comes back when you have not acted like a good Christian and been mean or not cared, you will not go to heaven. But, if Jesus comes back when you have acted like a good Christian all your life, you will get into heaven. Therefore, you should always act like Jesus was going to come back tomorrow, and try to live your life like Jesus taught you to. Even if you're not perfect (which nobody is), God knows what's in your heart and that you are trying to act good. But if you don't care and don't think about Jesus ever coming back, God knows that you don't care, and you won't go to heaven when Jesus comes.
  • The five foolish virgins represented people that don't care and don't act like good Christians all the time, and will not go to heaven.
  • The five smart virgins represent people that tried and actually were prepared for Jesus coming back, so they acted like real Christians, and will go to heaven.
Parable of the Unmerciful Servant
  • This means that we should all forgive everybody from our hearts, and truly mean it. In this parable, Jesus tells everyone that we should forgive everyone and give them a chance, just like God forgives us when we sin, and because he sent Jesus to prove that we are forgiven. The point of this parable is that we should forgive everyone if they are rude to us or do something bad, just like God forgives us. If God forgives us, we should forgive everybody else! In this parable, Jesus said that if we take advantage of God forgiving us and don't forgive other people, we won't go to heaven, therefore we should always forgive everyone around us.
  • The unmerciful servant represents someone who was forgiven and given a second chance by God, but took advantage of it and did not forgive the people around him and was cruel to them, and God sent him to hell.
  • The servant's master represents God, because he gave the unmericiful servant a chance and forgave him, just like God forgives our sins.
Parable of the Net
  • This means that when Jesus comes back, he will seperate all the good Christians from all the other people, and the good Christians will go to heaven, and everybody else will go to hell. This parable tells us that we should always act like God told us to act, and be good Christians and that we should preach about our faith so that others can be like us too. This way, when Jesus comes back, we will go to heaven. If we do not act like this, when Jesus comes back, we will not go to heaven.
  • The fisherman represents God on Judgement Day, because in the same way the fisherman pulls up his net and picks apart the good fish and keeps them, but gets rid of the bad fish, God will do the same. He will seperate everyone and the good people go to heaven, and the bad go to hell.
  • The good fish represent the people going to heaven.
  • The bad fish represent the people going to hell.
Parable of the Wedding Banquet
  • This is to show us what the kingdom of heaven is to look like!
  • It is about how God looks at your heart!
  • This means that when you make your choice of heaven or hell, that you will be looked at, at the heart! That will be our final judgment day!
  • It shows us that God invites everyone to come to heaven, but few people actually end up going.
  • The people that were originally invited to the wedding banquet represent the Jewish people who rejected Jesus and will not go to heaven.
  • The people that get invited later represent the Christians that have Jesus as their savior, and will go to heaven.
  • The person that got thrown out of the wedding banquet represented people that do not come ready for heaven, and they will go to hell.

So what do you guys think about this????? I really need to know so we can decide which one we are going to do for our final project!!!!! Thanks, DaNcIngdiVa4LIFE (Natalie.)
Hey again guys! So we really need to get to work and pick our final parable because I can't work on it at all tomorrow night, so we really really need to firgure out our final one so somebody else can write and someone else can create a toondoo or something for it!!!! Thanks, DaNcIngdiVa4LIFE (Natalie).
