Parable of the Sower
  • Revised Version: When a person starts to believe in God, if they hang out with the wrong people those wrong people can draw you away from God if you have little faith. A person might become a leader quickly but sometimes when something happens that they can't handle they quickly become a follower and someone else takes their place. When the economy is down some people are "choked" by bills and other things that hang over their head. This can lead to bad habits and stress throughout the person causing a person to break away from God. But when a person has a strong relationship with God and good friends. They know that God will get them through that tough time and they are a good friend and family member.
Parable of the Mustard Seed:
  • Revised Version: Even the smallest things can become the biggest thing and can be the best thing. And this big thing that started as a little thing can also be used by other living things.
Parable of the Ten Virgins:

  • Revised version: God’s kingdom is like the ten young women who took makeup and went out to meet the bridegroom. Five were silly and five were smart. The silly women took makeup, but no extra. The smart ones took their kits and mirrors just in case something happened. The bridegroom did not show up when the women expected him, and so they all fell asleep. In the middle of the night someone yelled out, “He’s here! The bridegroom is here. Go and meet him! The ten women got up and started to get ready. The silly women said to the smart ones “can we borrow your mirrors and makeup because ours got smirked and messy, and we ran out of makeup.” The smart ones answered “there is not enough to go around and the mirrors are taken, Go and buy your own” so they did but when they were on their way to the market the bridegroom came. When everyone met him they went to the wedding feast, and the gates to the mansion where locked. Many hours later the women arrived and called the bridegroom on their phone and said “we are here, let us in so we can party.” He answered “do I know you? I don’t think I know you.” So stay alert
Parable of the Wedding Banquet:
  • Revised Version: People off the streets were invited to a Friday Night Party. They were all given special clothes to wear. On the night of the party, the person who put the party together saw someone who wasn't wearing the special clothes. He asked him, "How did you get in here without clothes, dude?" The man was speechless. Then the person who put the party together told his friends, "Kick him out of my house into the darkness, and I will deal with this man later. For many are invited, but few are chosen.
