We have to pick 3 Parables that total 6 points. Okay, we only need to retell one. I think I worked the hardest one my ToonDoo and my parable (of the ones that are done), so can we please use mine???
Can we do The Parable of the Pearl (1 point) The Parable of the 10 Virgins (3 points) The Parable of the Talents (3 points) The Parable of the Hidden Treasure (1 point)
I'm also really good at The Parable of the Wedding Banquet (3 points) so I think we should do that.
If we get more than 6 points, we can get extra credit and that will be good.
Wikipedia might be good, if we need more information, but we should be careful and only use the things that make sense. Parable of the Wedding Banquet (3 points)-
Wedding Banquet-Heaven
King- God
Son-Jesus
First People-Israelites who turned away from God at least 2 times
Street People- Gentiles (us)
Without right clothes guy-chose not to have eternal life
God invites ALL people to come to heaven but they-
A) Give excuses for not coming
B) Ingore the invitation
C) Kill the people bringing the news
D) Choose to come, or,
E) Hang out with Christians and get into heaven, but get kicked out because they aren't really Christians-WE have to each believe in Jesus to get to heaven
The Kingdom of Heaven is like a girl's Sweet Sixteen Party. She invited all of her best friends first, but all of her best friends said no. Then she sent another invitation to them that said:
But some friends ingored it, and went shopping. The others tore up the invite, feed it to their dog, burned it, etc.
Then the girl spread rumors about her friends and destroyed their reputation.
Then she told her parents about what her friends did, and asked her parents to invite anyone that they saw in Target. They got everyone in Target, good and bad, and the party was started and there were lots of people. The girl had given everyone who came proper clothes to wear, but when she met her guests, she saw a boy wearing the clothes he wore to Target, and not the given clothes. The girl asked him why he wasn't wearing the clothes she gave him. He didn't say a word.
The girl asked her parents to throw the boy out where it was storming and very dark.
"For many are invited, but few are chosen"-Jesus

These 10 Virgins symbolize Christians who are waiting for Jesus to come. The 5 Foolish ones aren't really ready for him to come, but the 5 Smart ones are ready for him to come. It is not about responsability, it's about being ready for when Jesus returns. To be ready, we have to really believe in Jesus, not just say we are. Our hearts need to be in the right spots too.

First 2 servants-those Christians who get more people to believe in God/Jesus

Please add on or change things. Please share your opinions. Maybe someone could write it as story in 2009, so a teenager could understand it. Thanks.
